BORN IN 1950, WILMOT B. IRVIN received his undergraduate degree in English literature and law degree from the University of South Carolina. He served in judicial clerkships for a South Carolina Supreme Court Justice and a Senior United States District Judge, and has practiced law for more than forty years. He began writing fiction in his late forties, and has published five full-length novels, a novella, and a novelette. He was chosen as an author presenter at the 2010 South Carolina Book Festival and served as an author panel moderator at the 2011 Festival.
Wilmot and his wife, Jeannie, live in Columbia, South Carolina with their eleven-year-old son. They have three adult children and two grandchildren.
The author’s works explore human relationships. Fear and love, loss and fulfillment, evil and redemption, guilt and deliverance are themes that frequent his evocative and colorful stories, populated by interesting characters poignant in their struggles and triumphs.
